Martin Picard

Dr. Martin Picard is a professor of behavioral medicine (in psychiatry and neurology) at Columbia University, where he directs the Mitochondrial Psychobiology Group. His research connects psychological stress and lived experience to the mitochondria that power our cells. His team published the first quantitative evidence that human hair greying can reverse and is linked to life stress, and built the first systematic map of mitochondria in the human brain. He is the author of the forthcoming book 'Energy'.
